Biography for Bruce A. Watterson, Sr.
Bruce A. Watterson, Sr. is a Senior Vice President and Managing Group Director at Signature Bank. His group is responsible for providing middle market businesses and high net worth clients in the metropolitan area solutions for all of their financial needs. Prior to joining Signature, Mr. Watterson was a Vice President and Managing Director at CitiGroup Private Bank. Mr. Watterson has over Thirty-Five years of Corporate/Private Banking experience, having held a variety of positions at National Westminster Bank, Marine Midland Bank and Mellon Financial Services. He is a Certified Cash Manger (CCM) and also maintains Series 6, 7 and 66 NASD licenses in addition to a NYS Life and Health and Annuity license.
Mr. Watterson earned his BBA from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business in Pleasantville, NY where he majored in Finance and Accounting. While attending Pace University he also played on the Varsity Football and Lacrosse teams.
Heavily involved in the Long Island community, Mr. Watterson is or has been active on numerous committees and boards including The Education and Assistance Corp (EAC), We Care Corporate Supporters, The Challenger Business Advisory Group, Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), Rock And Wrap It Up, The Financial Executive’s Institute (FEI) and The American Institute of Banking (AIB). He has previously served as the Chairman of the Nassau County Boy Scouts “Teddy Roosevelt Dinner”, was EAC’s Honoree at their annual Golf Outing in 2012 and in 2009 was the honorary Chairperson for the “INN” annual dinner gala. Finally, Mr. Watterson is proud to be an alumni (Class of 2009) of The Energeia Program sponsored by Molloy College.
Mr. Watterson and his wife Teresa have lived in Rockville Centre for the past 26 years, they have four children and three grandchildren. Mr. Watterson enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, and boating. He has happily volunteered for many years coaching soccer, baseball, lacrosse and basketball teams for the RVC town, PAL and St. Agnes sports programs.
